PRESS RELEASE
Sydney: 27 April 2010
Adept releases energy efficiency disclosure software
Sydney-based Adept Business Systems has announced that Adepts Sales
and Leasing software application (ASL) now offers an energy efficiency
disclosure module compliant with the needs of the Federal Governments
commercial building energy efficiency regulations.
ASL will allow commercial property owners and agents to capture a NABERS
energy rating and ensure that it is displayed on property listing sheets when
an office is made available for lease or sale.  In addition, ASL allows real
estate agents to disclose a Building Energy Efficiency Certificate (BEEC) to
interested parties
and to track that the BEEC has been sent to specific
contacts.
Adept is hosting
a series of briefings in May to demonstrate
ASLs energy
efficiency
disclosure software. The briefings will be held in Sydney on 20
May, in Brisbane on 26 May and in Melbourne on 27 May.
With the threat of civil penalties of up to $110,000 for non-compliance,
commercial agencies in Australia need a viable solution to record and disclose
energy efficiency information, said Steve Clark,
CEO
at  Adept.  In
addition, the sharp rise of electricity costs has made energy efficiency an
important consideration when leasing
and buying commercial property.
ASL
gives commercial agents ready access to the required energy information.
said Clark.
ASL customers in Australia include DTZ, Lemon Baxter, Ray White
Commercial Canberra, Chesterton International,
Belle Property Commercial
and Barton Commercial.
