has been awarded "Partner of the Year 2009" at HP Communications World,
Hamburg, Germany. The HP award was presented to Acision for its outstanding
commitment to HP Communications and Media Solutions (CMS), and for jointly
delivering the world's first fully convergent fixed-mobile solution, Duo, at
Globe Telecom.
Acision's innovative real-time, location-based charging solutions,
Acision Flexible Charger and Acision Location Gateway, complemented by the HP
OpenCall Flexible Service Controller, a combination of HP OpenCall Convergent
Communication Platform and the HP Charging Gateway solutions, enabled Globe
Telecom to launch the subscription-based "Duo - Mobile and Landline in One"
service. With Duo, Globe Telecom offers its post-paid mobile and fixed-line
subscribers free and unlimited voice calls when the calls originate within a
pre-defined geographical zone.
