Care Connect Ltd will transition out of its
operations in South Australia, Unley office

Today, the Acting C.E.O for Care Connect Ltd, Mr. Nader Gayed
announced the organisations’ plans to transition out the South
Australian operations located in Unley, effective 31st December
2009.
“This decision was made after extensive consultation and
deliberation with the organisation’s Board of Management and is
aligned to the strategic plan moving forward”, Mr. Gayed said.
The South Australian office provided respite to carers by offering
social activities, support for individuals with mild to moderate
dementia via “Clarrie’s Club”. This service is funded by the
National Respite for Carers (NRCP) Program and supported by
the Australian Government.
“Churches of Christ Life Care Inc will now auspice the Dementia
Support and Respite for Carers Program from Norman House,
an existing overnight respite cottage funded under the NRCP”,
Mr. Gayed said.
Norman House is approximately 4 kilometres from the existing
location of Clarrie's Club at 368 Unley Road. Norman House is a
detached home fully owed by Churches of Christ Life Care Inc
and located at 28 Norman Terrace, Everard Park.
Public transport is readily accessible with a tram stop directly
opposite, and bus services within walking distance. Churches of
Christ Life Care Inc will continue to offer transport to current
'Clarrie's Club' carers to minimise the impact of the shift in
physical location.
Care Connect will be working closely with the Department of
Health and Ageing and Churches of Christ Life Care Inc to
ensure ongoing support for carers and clients during this phase
of transition.
