Dali Zhang Named Managing Director of Asian Business at RISI
BOSTON, Mar. 30 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ --
RISI, the leading information provider for the global forest products industry,
today announced the hiring of Dali Zhang as Managing Director of Asian Business. The
hire is part of RISI's strategic plan to further develop its existing coverage of the
Asian forest products industry with a focus on China.
Zhang comes to RISI from Norske Skog China where he spent 2008 and 2009
developing their business as Vice President and Head of Corporate Development. From
2000 to 2007 Zhang was Chief Representative/President of Poyry Forest Industry
Consulting's China operation and from 1996 to 2000 he was Vice President of their
Asia Pacific operation.
Born in China, Zhang is a US citizen and has spent the last 15 years working in
both Asia and North America. Zhang's educational background includes a BS in
Electrical Engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology in China, a MS in
Forest Operations from the University of Alberta in Canada, and a PhD in Forest
Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the US.
