Food Ingredients Europe Nominated for Two AEO's Awards - Best Trade Show Over 2000m2

and Marketing Campaign of the Year

    Food ingredients (Fi) Europe, the world's largest trade show for the food

ingredients industry, has been nominated by the Association of Event Organisers (AEO)

for the Best Trade Show Over 2000m2 Award and Marketing Campaign of the Year Award.


    Held in Frankfurt on 17-19 November, 2009, Fi Europe broke all records with 1,069

exhibitors, 5.4% more than the previous show in 2007, and 14,326 visitors - a

staggering 29% increase from 2007! The unprecedented success comes during the worst

global slowdowns ever felt by both the trade show and health ingredients markets,

which stresses the strength of the show even more.


    "Fi Europe was a success because it provided the ultimate platform for buyers and

    Market research before the show has indicated that businesses wanted to look past

the recession and to focus on optimism for 2010 and beyond. Therefore the show theme

reflected this - "The Future of Ingredients." "As the trade show industry faced

pressure like never before in 2009, our objectives were not to atrophy as an event in

terms of visitor quality or quantity, but to keep extending attendee numbers and
