FOODWORKS MARYSVILLE CELEBRATES REOPENING

WITH FREE FAMILY FUN DAY

FoodWorks Marysville is celebrating its re-opening in the Marysville Motor Museum Shopping Centre, at

49 Darwin Street Marysville, with a free family fun day this Saturday December 5th

from 10:00am –

1:00pm.

The entertainment on the day will include a range of activities for the whole family to enjoy. For the kids

there will be a jumping castle, face painting, balloon twisting, helium balloon giveaways, presents from

Santa and a colouring competition to win a Nintendo DS. There will also be music, giveaways and a gold

coin donation sausage sizzle run by the local Lions Club.

Christine Nixon, Ben Hardman MP and FoodWorks CEO Peter Noble will officially open the store at

12:30pm.

According to FoodWorks CEO, Peter Noble, the re-opening of the store marks an important milestone in

the rebuilding of the Marysville Community.

“Being able to easily stock up on groceries and essentials in town is a key stage in the recovery of

Marysville. It was important us that a supermarket was re-established in town as soon as possible to meet

the needs of the local community as they rebuild,” Mr Noble said.

“I would like to recognise the commitment of Tina and Michael Reddrop to providing this essential service

to the Marysville community and also assisting with the recovery of business and employment in the area.

Michael and Tina’s support of their store team after the fires has also been commendable,”

“FoodWorks Marysville is a great store that will serve the local community well as they rebuild,” he said.

According to Store Owner Tina Reddrop the new store will offer the community a great range of everyday

grocery items and essentials.

“The store will stock a range of lines to suit the needs of the community as they rebuild. We have fresh

produce, liquor, dairy, freezer and grocery products available in-store,” Ms Reddrop said.

“We have been a part of the community here in Marysville for some time and have always been grateful

for the ongoing support of the community for our businesses. We are pleased to be able to support the

community during the rebuilding of Marysville by re-establishing the store,” she said.
