Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc. Receives Certificate of Achievement for Quality

Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc. ("Hayes" or the "Company") announced today that its subsidiary, Hayes
Lemmerz Werke GmbH, which operates the Company's Konigswinter, Germany facility, has received a
certificate of achievement from DAF Trucks N.V. and Leyland Trucks, both divisions of Paccar Inc. The
certificate recognizes that Hayes consistently met or exceeded quality performance requirements for the parts
supplied by Hayes to DAF and Leyland in 2008.
