How well can business perform?

At a Brisbane conference on Friday a senior business executive will examine the challenges

faced by Australian business in closing the gap between performance and potential.

Telstra board member and former CEO of Microsoft Australia, Steve Vamos, will discuss

research he has been conducting with the Society of Knowledge Economics (SKE) on

leadership, culture and management practices of human and other intangible business

resources. 

The conference is one of a HR Practices series being conducted in Australian capital cities

during March by the Australian Human Resources Institute. The Queensland conference will be

held at the Stamford Plaza in Brisbane on March 12.

Adrian Nowitzke, district CEO, Gold Coast Health Service District, on “Change

John Salter and Katrina Lacey from Teys Brothers, winners of the 2009 AHRI Fons

Peter Burrow, behavioural strategist, on “What has Neuroscience Got to Do with High

Performance Teams?”


Karen Garner, barrister-at-law, on “The Fair Work Act: Early Lessons and Emerging

Trends”
