Industry speakers motivate future students
Prospective students who visit RMIT Open Day this year will have the opportunity
to hear speakers from blue chip companies in industries they are interested in
studying and to work in.
The high-profile companies taking part in this initiative are Rio Tinto Australia,
Boeing and SAGE (advanced manufacturing and automation).
Science, technology, maths and engineering, account for half of all the jobs in
Australia.
So for high school students facing tough decisions about what to study, these
industry talks from potential future employers will help to highlight the wide range of
science and engineering careers available.
Strong links and collaboration with industry provide RMIT students with practical
local and international experience before graduating.
RMITs Open Day also includes information sessions and tours of facilities.
Current students and staff will be available to discuss study options and career
pathways with future students and their families.
