Internationally renowned Emu Oil Queen visits
South Eastern Queensland
Chris Rogers, a world pioneer in emu oil production and farming and an
inspiring Aussie success story is dropping in to Noosa from Monday,
November 23rd as part of a whirlwind goodwill tour and well deserved break.
Chris and her husband Phil struck oil (emu oil) seventeen years ago in the tiny South
Australian hamlet of Murray Bridge. They have since become the leaders in producing pure
emu oil for its renowned and proven anti inflammatory healing properties. The oil has been
used by indigenous Australians since ancient times and is now sold all over the world
through the Rogers Talyala emu oil brand.
Chris and Phils entrepreneurial success story is inspiring and typical of many couples who
have the courage to make a sea-change, or emu-change, but it hasnt always been smooth
sailing.
Seventeen years ago the couple gave up their luxurious Adelaide home to farm emus. On a
road trip, they discovered emu farming and became passionate about the exotic birds and the
healing benefits of the oil.
After years of hard work they had a thriving emu farm and tourist business in Murray
Bridge, until they took some time off and put in a manager, who literally put them out of
business.
The Rogers had to sell up, relocate (to Keith in SA) and start over again, which they did to
become the world leaders in emu oil and emu products.
Chriss story is about perseverance, passion and also adopting 21 Century marketing
techniques - online marketing to promote and sell their Talyala range, through their website
www.emu-shop.com . Despite no experience in ecommerce, she quickly learnt and has been
selling online since the mid nineties.
Our website (www.emu-shop.com), allows us to sell to the World, from tiny Keith; (it
borders Australias premium wine region in south east SA). Its funny, were using modern
marketing technology to promote a natural, proven pain relieving oil used by indigenous
Australians since ancient times and its as pure now as it was then, says Chris Rogers, the
Emu Oil Queen.
While in Noosa, Chris and Phil will be catching up with friends who sell their products at the
Eumundi Markets.
Emu Oil relieves the pain of Arthritis, Eczema, Psoriasis, sporting injuries, sunburn, bites,
bruises and wounds. The oil is also available in capsule form as a rich source of Omega 3, 6,
9, as well as a base in moisturizers, shampoos, balms, and massage oils.
