Jirsch Sutherland appointed receiver and manager of Jackgreen

(International) Pty Ltd


Specialist insolvency, turnaround management and forensic accounting firm Jirsch

Sutherland has been appointed as receiver to  Jackgreen (International) Pty Ltd, the

trading entity and wholly owned subsidiary of ASX-listed company Jackgreen Energy

Ltd (ASX:JGL). This follows Jackgreen Energy being placed into administration on 18

December 2009. 


Jirsch Sutherland Partners Sule Arnautovic and John Kukulovski were appointed as

Joint Receivers today, Wednesday 23 December 2009. The appointment was made

by the company’s principal lender/financier.


The Receivers are currently assessing the financial position and staffing levels of the

company. Customers of Jackgreen Energy have been migrated to other energy

suppliers, including Energy Australia, Integral Energy and others, depending on the

customer’s location. 


Established in 2005, Jackgreen Energy was Australia’s dedicated renewable energy

retailer, licensed in NSW, the ACT, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria. It was

the only licensed energy retailer throughout Australia to have a component of

GreenPower in every product it sold. It had more than 70,000 customers.
