PRESS RELEASE
MURRAY GOULBURN CO-OPERATIVE CO. LIMITED
8 October 2010
ELECTION OF DIRECTORS
Murray Goulburn Co-operative today finalised a postal ballot conducted in the Western Region to
elect three directors to the Board of Murray Goulburn Co-operative Co. Limited for the next three
years.
The three winning candidates, out of a total field of six candidates, were:
Mr Don Howard (current director re-elected)
Mr John Pye (current director re-elected)
Mr Martin Van de Wouw
The number of votes cast represented 70.7% of the eligible votes in the Western Region.
Under recent amendments to the Co-operative's Constitution, the two previously existing zones
within Western Victoria were consolidated to form a single Western Region. The three nominees
receiving the highest number of votes are the successful candidates and their election to the Board
will be confirmed at the Co-operative's Annual General Meeting.
Mr Grant Davies, Chairman, said, "It was pleasing to have the election for these important
positions so enthusiastically contested by the candidates. I thank all those who stood for their
work during the campaign and congratulate the successful candidates. Murray Goulburn looks
forward to the contribution to the Co-operative of these newly elected directors."
