New Appointment General Manager, Midwest Projects

WestNet Rail is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Mounas to the position of General Manager Midwest Projects.

With over 20 years of project management experience around Australia, Mr Mounas has worked on a wide range of projects including major port, rail, industrial and resources projects.

Mr Mounas is a civil engineer with a Masters in Business and Administration (MBA) who has held senior leadership roles within blue chip organisations such as BHP Billiton, WMC Resources and Visy Industries.

This newly created role will be responsible for the delivery of close to $400 million of upgrades to WestNet Rail infrastructure in the Midwest, to initially support additional iron ore exports of 10 to 15 million tonnes through Geraldton Port and potentially more through Oakajee Port.
