NewSat Appoints Mark Fishwick and Andrew Plympton to the NewSat Board

Australia's leading independent Satellite Communications Company NewSat Limited (ASX: NWT), is pleased to announce the appointment of two new directors, ratified by the Board and effective today to the NewSat Board. The appointments of Mark Fishwick and Andrew Plympton are in line with the Company's strategy to add new skills and connections to the Board in order to progress NewSat's development and growth. These appointments come at a time when NewSat is experiencing an exciting period of growth, following the recently announced positive EBITDA and positive cashflow positions in the September and December 2009 quarters.

NewSat believes that both Mark Fishwick and Andrew Plympton will bring complementary skills and the necessary experience and knowledge to assist in the further development of NewSat over the coming years. The two new directors both encompass extensive media, sales and financial services experience.

ABOUT MARK FISHWICK
Mark is an out-of-home ('OOH') media veteran with 30 years global experience founding many well known brand names including; Nettlefold/NLD/Boyd (now Eye Corp), Cody (now APNO) and Claude Group. Currently, Mark is the group Managing Director of Ambient Advertising, Chairman of Blue Media Group, Captive Vision Network and Plasma-OOH Indonesia.


ABOUT ANDREW PLYMPTON
Andrew is an active entrepreneur with extensive experience in the financial services sectors, sports administration and listed companies, including the role of CEO of two Global Insurance Broking Firms and the successful long term President of the St Kilda Football Club. Currently Andrew is an Executive Member and Director of The Australian Olympic Committee, President of Yachting Australia Inc., and is non-executive Chairman of four other Boards, including two ASX listed companies.
