Principalfocus Named Best Regional Business

5 October 2008

PrincipleFocus was awarded $5000 as the winner of the National Institute of Accountants' Award for Best Regional Business at the My Business Awards over the weekend.

National Institute of Accountants chief executive officer Andrew Conway said that the judges were impressed with the comprehensive range of services PrincipleFocus provided to rural businesses.

"PrincipalFocus has team members specialising in agriculture and business consulting, accounting, financial planning, banking, commodity risk advising and software," he said. "With offices in Coffs Harbour, Launceston, Geelong and Victor Harbor they are well placed to serve the rural community.

"Principal Focus has demonstrated that they can provide a single contact for a broad range of small rural business needs," he said.

Other finalists in the National Institute of Accountants' Award for Best Regional Business were Unanderra based McKeon's Swim School and Tasmania's Penguin Composites.

Small business is an integral sector of the Australian economy and these awards seek to highlight those businesses who provide a benchmark for the industry.

"The level of submissions from regional businesses was very impressive and I would like to congratulate all the businesses that participated in the awards," Mr Conway said.
