WICHITA, Kan., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ --

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. (NYSE: SPR) today formally opened its new Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO)

repair station in China through a joint venture with Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO) and

known as Taikoo Spirit AeroSystems (Jinjiang) Composite Co. Ltd., will provide world-class repair services for

aircraft operators across the Asia-Pacific region.

The new facility, which is in the process of receiving its Civil Aviation Administration of China certification

(CAAC), will perform composite repairs and overhauls with a focus on engine nacelles and components for Boeing

737NG and 777 aircraft.

"After announcing our plans last year to enter into a joint venture with HAECO/TAECO, we believe that this

global expansion takes Spirit another step closer toward the execution of our aftermarket growth strategy and long

term value creation for our international customers," stated Carolyn Harms, VP/GM for Spirit's aftermarket

business.

"We anticipate that the opening of this repair facility in China will support the repair needs of aircraft operators in

the Asia-Pacific region," stated Chung Mak, Director of Marketing for HAECO.

The opening of the Asia repair station complements Spirit's North America Repair Center in Wichita, Kan., and
