Virtual Event to Focus on Sustainable Issues for Cruise Industry


PRINCETON, N.J., Aug. 5 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ --



    The organizers of Cruise Shipping Miami, the international exhibition and 

conference serving the cruise industry, are pleased to announce the launch of 

Cruise Shipping Virtual, a 100% online exhibition and conference slated for 

September 28, 2010.


    The second in the series of Cruise Shipping Virtual Events, is an

innovative and interactive way for suppliers and buyers to meet in a virtual

environment. The one-day event will focus on sustainability, and includes an

Exhibit Hall featuring cruise industry suppliers, a Conference Center to

attend informative webinars and a Lounge to network via IM and chat board.


    The online event, will include two webinars, organized in association

with Sustainable Travel International, focusing on sustainable tourism issues

including "Greening of the Supply Chain" moderated by Michael Jones, VP of

Supply Chain, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd and "Sustainable Tourism 101-

Entering the World of Green Travel" moderated by Brian Mullis, President,

Sustainable Travel International.


    In addition, Cruise Shipping Miami are offering a three-tiered, Green

Travel Certificate Program, administered by Sustainable Travel International,

for taking part in this and future webinar sessions. The series is designed

to help travel professionals and exhibitors reap the benefits associated with

sustainable tourism.

influence cruise lines and their suppliers, helping them to identify and

implement best practices in sustainable tourism," explains Marilyn McHugh,
