Clients of Clime Asset Management gain 30.2% on their investments
Despite the lacklustre performance of the ASX over the 12 months to 30 September, clients
of Clime with a Discrete Share Portfolio (DSP) have enjoyed stellar results: a fabulous 30.2%
average gain for the year. This represents an outperformance of the S&P/ASX 200 Index of
27.1% for the 12 months to September 2009.
DSPs are managed share portfolios that have the benefit of individual share ownership for
each participating investor while being professionally managed by Clime Asset Management.
Like all Clime investment vehicles, the Clime DSP embraces ‘value investing’ as its
underlying philosophy. Paul Jensen, MD, explains: “value investing involves our fund
managers identifying stocks that have a high return on equity and are available at a discount
to our assessment of value.”
