Williamson Joins Citi As Economist

New Appointment: Joshua Williamson, Vice President and Economist Citi

Sydney, Australia Joshua Williamson has been appointed to the Sydney-based role of Vice President and Economist, Citi Investment Research & Analysis.

Joshua joins Citi from TD Securities where he was Senior Rates & Currency Strategist for the past two years. In this role, Joshua held responsibility for developing monetary policy, fixed income and FX forecasts for Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to tenure with TD Securities, Joshua held an Economist role with the Treasury Corporation of Victoria where he was responsible for analysing, reporting and presenting on market sensitive data. He was also responsible for developing and communicating the interest rate strategy to clients and risk managers and also making regular written and verbal reports to clients and the Board.

Joshua also brings to Citi his analytical experiences gained through his time as the Senior Economist, Macroeconomic Group for the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance.

Bruce Rolph, Head of Citi Investment Research and Analysis said Joshua's extensive and highly regarded experience would be an invaluable addition to Citi.

"Joshua will work with Managing Director, Economics Paul Brennan, focusing in particular on leveraging our economic analysis with our partners in fixed income, currencies and commodities," Mr Rolph said.

Joshua holds a Bachelor of Applied Economics, a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Economics and a Diploma in Financial Services. Joshua has also partly completed a Masters Degree in Commerce.
