Riding the next big wave in
technology

Author and digital-age philosopher, Jonah Nader, will give a keynote address to a technology
conference in Sydney next week. He will explore ideas about how to prepare for the next big
bang in technology and discuss the key roles of patience, skill and discipline in making the most
of innovation.
Other speakers at the conference are:
Executive general manager human resources at Energy Australia, Maree Slater, on
“Technology paving the way for workforce planning success”
Director, recruitment design and delivery, ATO people, Australian Tax Office, Jason
Lucchese, on “The e-recruitment journey”
Founder of Inspecht, Michael Specht, on “Using social media to drive employee
engagement”
Founding president, Society of Knowledge Economics and non-executive director of
Telstra, Steve Vamos, on “Making the soft stuff measurable … and why organisatiional
leaders need HR data”
In addition the conference includes a keynote panel with Anastasia Ellerby (SuccessFactors),
John Macy (Competitive Edge Technology) and David Page (Northgate Orinso) who will
examine the topic: Calm the storm – applying technology to salary
The conference will be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on 14 October.
