RACQ INSURANCE READY TO ASSIST STORM VICTIMS
RACQ Insurance has urged customers who were victims of yesterday’s storms that
caused widespread damage in south-east Queensland to contact them as soon as
possible.
CEO Bradley Heath this morning said the insurance company had extra claims staff and
assessors waiting to assist victims. They should call the dedicated claims number 137202.
He said several hundred claims had been lodged last night and assessors were already
out in the field inspecting damage to expedite repairs.
“The sooner customers who have had damage to their homes or vehicles contact us, the
sooner we’ll be able to process their claims,” Mr Heath said.
“We have rostered on extra people to handle the demand and are ready to assist
customers through this difficult time.
“We’ll be prioritising claims depending on the level of damage and personal need – but the
key message is we are here to help so people should call 13 7202 as soon as possible.
