The Australian Interactive Media Industry Association's First Annual AMBER Awards For Excellence in E- Services was conducted last night and Youi Pty Ltd were announced as winners for Best Online Insurer.

In only their first year of operation, Youi finished ahead of other AMBER nominees; AAMI, Allianz, GIO and NRMA to claim the inaugural award.

Accepting the AIMA Amber award, Youi CEO, Hugo Schreuder, thanked AIMIA and the
AMBER Awards organisers and said " We are overwhelmed to receive this amazing
recognition.

A national award primarily based upon positive customer experiences whilst using
Youi's online quoting and policy manager facilities is a wonderful honour and we are truly grateful".

"One of Youi's major goals was to architect online capability enabling our customers to complete 99% of their insurance transactions electronically. We also wanted to ensure our customers' online user experiences were friendly, informative, innovative and unique.

Whilst we believed we had created something special, to receive confirmation of this from Australian online customers in this public way, in only our first year of business, is quite phenomenal" said Mr Schreuder.

Changing customers' perceptions of online insurance has been an integral part of Youi's overall strategy. Whilst greater online activity improves customer responsiveness, reduces administration costs and the company's carbon foot print, undoubtedly the biggest benefit of this increased activity comes in the form of premium savings able to be transferred on to Youi's customers.

Mr Schreuder said "Whilst the industry as a whole has a responsibility to make
