Freelancer.com US$15,000 Logo Competition Won by Edward V. Sutrisno

SYDNEY, Dec. 4 /Medianet International-AsiaNet/ --

FreelancerTM, formerly known as GetAFreelancer, the world's top freelance jobs micro-outsourcing

marketplace, today announced that the winner of the US$15,000 global logo competition was Edward V.

Sutrisno from Indonesia.

"We congratulate Edward on beating a large field of contestants and winning the contest! ", said Matt Barrie,

Chief Executive of Freelancer. "His design of incorporating an origami hummingbird expresses creativity, the

freedom of freelancing and symbolises how our freelancers can take the simple and ordinary and turn it into

something beautiful and intricate."

Edward runs his own design studio called "moskibod design studio" specialising in branding and multimedia

design. Edward's background is architecture, but he has a strong interest in graphic design. He likes to design

corporate identities, websites, multimedia and other graphics. Formerly, Edward worked as a graphic designer

at an advertising company in his city, Semarang, a city that is rapidly growing in Indonesia. He has been a

freelancer and freelancing on Freelancer.com for about 2 years.

Edward V. Sutrisno said "I was introduced Freelancer by my friend, I joined and I love it. After getting a few

clients, I decided to become a part-time worker here, as the freelance outfit "moskibod design studio".

Previously I planned on vacuuming for a few months to prepare my wedding in the middle of this year, 2009!

However in September I was told about the Freelancer.com logo contest. I sent some design concepts and

surprisingly my Hummingbird Origami concept was in the top 20! This is a very beautiful moment for me,

Freelancer is a beautiful gift for my career. To Freelancer I would say thank you very much for this opportunity

and all the freelance jobs here, especially for us from developing countries. I also congratulate you in

celebrating over 1,000,000 users. Congratulation guys, you all do a great job!"

The runner up was Francis Manio, from the Philippines, whose design is also highly commended and in the

running for the People's Choice Award.
