Australia came in as the third most represented nation following the US and the UK in this year’s

AskMen.com poll.

As Emma-Kate Dobbin, Australian Editor of AskMen.com explains “With five Aussies in the ‘Top 99’

list this year, it’s clear that men around the world love Aussie women. Moreover this year’s ‘Top 99’

list highlights that AskMen readers like more than just a pretty face and are tuned in to the biggest

starlets and trends in film, music, fashion and politics,”

The AskMen.com “Top 99 Most Desirable Women” differs from other polls in that it is determined by

the site’s readers, not editorial staff. Every year, AskMen.com readers from all over the world are

asked to look beyond sex appeal and beauty to pick women who have the qualities they value most in

a potential companion, including intelligence, humour, character and ambition. The result is a list far

more revealing than the common "Most Sexy" or "Most Beautiful" lists published elsewhere.

AskMen’s Top 99 Most Desirable Women Respond:

“It absolutely stunned me! I laughed because I thought that is so crazy! It’s such a massive

compliment. Hearing what that vote is made of is the biggest compliment of all because it’s not just

about being “hot” but about being a well-rounded woman. That’s really empowering. That is just a

massive compliment to me – people recognize that I care about other things.” -Emmanuelle Chriqui

(#1)

"I love AskMen.com and I love that they love me back. Thank you!! Xxx"- Eva Mendes (#9)

“I’m delighted that the readers of AskMen.com have chosen to include me on their list.  I’m extremely

flattered and look forward to seeing what the results are in January.”  Padma Lakshmi (#15)

2010 trends:

This year’s AskMen’s 2010 list include 26 blondes, 71 brunettes and 1 red head, whilst the average

age of nominees was 29. The youngest age of a most desirable winner was 19 and the oldest was 45.

Notably absent A-List women who were on the 2009 list but missed out this year include Kate Winslet,

Alicia Keyes, Britney Spears, Katherine Heigl, Christina Aguilera and Keira Knightley.

The 2010 Top 99 list sees some notable rises and falls including:
