Before you sign a Retail Lease!
The Victorian Small Business Commissioner, Mark Brennan, has warned retail landlords
and tenants that they should not enter into a retail lease without reading the updated Retail
Leases Information Brochure.
“A landlord must provide a tenant with a copy of the Information Brochure when
negotiating a new retail lease,” Mr. Brennan said
“The Information Brochure, which highlights the obligations of tenants and landlords, has
been updated and comes into effect from August 1,” he said.
