MEDIA RELEASE
19 December 2008
Super A-Mart's new Cannington store brings employment
opportunities
Super A-Mart will tomorrow open the first stage of a new Cannington store,
bringing further employment opportunities to Western Australia.
With its third Western Australian store opening since early September, the
company has experienced rapid business growth over recent months.
Chief Executive Officer, Mr Eddie MacDonald, said the company's continued
expansion into the Western Australia market will deliver employment
opportunities for each store's local community.

"We are continually on the look-out for experienced retail staff to join teams in
our Western Australian stores," Mr MacDonald said.
"We have employment opportunities at all three of our Western Australian
stores Osborne Park, Cockburn and now Cannington in a wide range of
positions, including sales, office and dispatch.
"As Australia's leading discount furniture and bedding retailer with a 30 year
track-record, we provide our staff with exceptional hands-on experience and
continual support."
As a result of its national expansion plan, the Queensland-based company
has two existing Western Australian stores one at Osborne Park and
another at Cockburn and plans to open four more as opportunities arise.
Mr MacDonald said Super A-Mart's expansion into Western Australia has
already delivered benefits for the company and its customers.
"Our two existing Western Australian stores have been performing strongly,
and Cannington is expected to follow suit, especially because of its strategic
location," Mr MacDonald said.
"Our wide range of products, including upholstery; dining, office and outdoor
furniture and bedding, has meant we have been able to fill a gap in the market.

"Our ability to provide high quality products at prices lower than other furniture
and bedding retailers in the area means we can deliver value previously
unavailable to Western Australian consumers."
Delivering this kind of value to its customers is a key element of Super
A-Mart's business, and something many consumers could be looking for this
Christmas in the current economic climate.
The 6,400 square metre Cannington store, located at 1509 Albany Highway,
Cannington, will open from 9:00am to 5:30pm on Saturday 20 December 2008.
