MetroPCS Integrates Mavenir Converged Messaging Solution

Mavenir Systems, provider of innovative mobile convergence solutions, announced today the deployment of
its Converged Messaging solution at MetroPCS. Mavenir's IP-SMSC, part of the company's Converged
Messaging solution, is a highly scalable and distributed product that enables new messaging services and
provides MetroPCS a cost-effective platform to manage the increase in SMS data traffic.
Mavenir's IP-SMSC introduces an IP-based layered architecture for messaging and integrates seamlessly
into the current MetroPCS network via industry standard interfaces. The product offers a starting point for
operators to provide revenue-generating services such as SMS Value Added Services, Converged IP
Messaging (CPM), Social Networks Aggregation, and delivery of SMS and MMS to LTE devices. Mavenir is
helping MetroPCS transform its network from legacy messaging silos to a feature-rich, open and scalable
messaging core. The solution is based on Mavenir's flagship mOne Convergence Platform.
